Anna and her cousin Calvin *Fall 2009*

Anna went to elementary school in Burlington, IA at Black Hawk Elementary before moving to the Salem-Keizer Public School System. She participated in the concert bands and jazz bands at her middle school. When she moved up to high school she participated in the Jazz Band, Pep Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Marching Band. She was the principal bassoonist in both the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra throughout her entire high school career. She was section leader, band captain, and drum major of her high school marching band. 

After high school, Anna began her college career at Eastern Illinois University as a Music Education major. She has played in the Wind Symphony, Eastern Symphony Orchestra, and the Panther Marching Band. She has held the position of saxophone section leader in the marching band and principal bassoonist in both the Wind Symphony and Eastern Symphony Orchestra. She is student teaching in Grahamstown, South Africa for the spring of 2013 and will graduate upon her return.
